Applications are being accepted for the position of Groundskeeper for Bowling Green Municipal Utilities.
The position is seasonal, commencing in March and ending in November. The work schedule will begin daily before 7 a.m. Monday through Friday, and will be scheduled for 25 to 40 hours per week, depending on weather. The position will assist current facilities maintenance staff with lawn maintenance, litter removal, and landscape work on BGMU properties throughout the city. Some basic building maintenance may also be required. The position involves manual labor and will require significant physical exertion to perform mowing and trimming duties, including walking for long periods of time, standing, reaching overhead, stooping, kneeling, and repeated bending at the waist. Requires the ability to carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and the ability to tolerate work in extreme heat during the summer months.
- Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma or graduate equivalency. Valid Kentucky driver's license.
- Preferred Characteristics: Outside work experience in lawn and landscaping maintenance. Possession of Kentucky license in herbicide application.
