Training Specialist
Skilled Trades Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products, LLC in Bowling Green, Kentucky seeks: Training Specialist to help plan, conduct, and administer programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge.
Duties include: Set up individual learning plans for employees based on job function requirements; prepare training grant information for local and state workforce education & development incentives; input historical training data into LMS (Learning Management System); provide user and supervisor support with regard to user navigation and learning completion rates to ensure a positive user experience for each person enrolled in the LMS; assist in developing training curriculums in line with company's development needs; mentor/Teach 'The KAAP Way' and the supporting principles of 'We KAAP..."; provide day-to-day Training & Development (T&D) support activities - maintenance of T&D files, initiating training reminders, etc.; monitor training schedules, coordinates with instructors, assists in preparing any needed training materials, and maintains recordkeeping of training completed; use the information system or database (LMS) to enter information and produce reports on training statistics, employee participation, and assessments of the programs and training instructors; prepare and maintain monthly training calendar; maintain working knowledge of company's LMS functionality; and perform other functions, as required.
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing or related field, or combination, with knowledge of various learning methods and how to input into one-source data system. Must possess ability to use camera system software and proficient content creation skills; must possess proficient knowledge of online databases, and good communication skills. Must be a self-starter, motivated, and detail oriented; must possess ability to multi-task; and must possess good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Requires occasional physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
